China is Overtaking the United State in Research and Emerging Technologies

According to the Australian think tank that monitors around the world technologies competition has said that China has become the most powerful world leader in innovation and research on about 80 percent of key technologies, and is now trying to monopolize modern defense related technology.
Experts and Analysts further say that China has too much achieved this advantage due to too heavy investment by the official government during the last two decades. According to that despite this kind of development, Beijing is still dependent on few other countries for key components used in modern digital technology and is far from self sufficient.
According to the report by the government funded Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) found that China had researched 57 out of 64 most unique and modern advanced technologies over the five years period from 2019 to 2023.

China was leading in only three kind of technologies around about 2003 and 2007, but has now rapidly replaced the United States, which now leads in only 7 key technologies ( emerging technologies ).

He also said that China is working particularly too much hard in areas such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, healthcare and advanced aircraft engines where it still lags behind.
List of the top ten technologies have been classified as ( high risk )Â this year, most of which are related to the defense industry.
Tobias Ficken, the founder of consulting firm Protostar Strategy, told Voice of America that 24 modern defense related sectors, including radars and drones, are at risk of potential monopoly by China in the current and future geopolitical context.

As China continues to lead in key technology research and innovation, the questions are being raised about how it is progressing in these areas.

According to the Fekin, India will also be able to cope with the increasing dependence of countries on the supply of technologies from China in the future.
